Following a disappointing season where 100 Thieves found themselves at the bottom of the LCS table, the team have announced Aubrey “Drake” Graham as their new midlaner. He will replace Choi “Huhi” Jae-hyun, who was released from the roster last week.
“Drake is a Grammy Award-winning, platinum-selling recording artist. He’s also a visionary investor, cultural icon, and an amazing Kassadin player,” said Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag, the former Call of Duty world champion, YouTube sensation, and Founder & CEO of 100 Thieves.
“Our top priority is to build a lasting brand on the back of the content and apparel that our fans have come to love, aggressively expand into more games, scale our apparel business, and build a world-class management team,” he added. “But we also want to try and win. I mean, let’s at least make it respectable next season.”
The lifestyle brand, streetwear vendor, and also esports team hopes that with the addition of Drake in the midlane, they can push to secure a spot in the summer’s LCS Playoffs merch store.
